How should I care for my Miccy's jewelry?

Your Miccy's jewelry should be handled with care at all times. Please keep your jewelry out of reach of small children and babies.
All our jewelry has a base of sterling silver and this will tarnish over time, but it will happen much faster when it comes into contact with agents such as perfume, salty air, sulphur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine and acidic skin ph.

Jewelry should be stored away from sunlight and heat, in a protective (lined) jewelry box or a tarnish-resistant pouch like the one you got from Miccy's. It can also be stored in a plastic zip lock bag made of mylar or polyethylene. Never use polyvinyl plastic bags as they contain sulphur compounds, which will make sterling silver tarnish faster.

We recommend that you do not wear any jewelry whilst bathing, whilst in bed or during sporting activities.

A safe way to clean most jewelry is to use Coat & Shine.

Why and how are the Miccy's earrings hallmarked?

Miccy's jewelry is identified by a series of key markings known as hallmarks, which are legal requirements indicating the purity of the metal and the origin of the jewelry.
All our products will now feature a Miccy's stamp. This identifies the jewelry as being a Miccy's product. Next to this a 925 stamp for the silver jewelry.
Our 18k gold plated jewelry pieces only carry the fineness hallmark for the sterling silver core and no separate hallmark for the 18k gold plating.

Why does my jewelry look different from the image pictured online?

The product photography displayed on our online store matches the product as closely as possible. All of our jewelry is hand-finished with genuine materials and so details such as the exact shade of colour of the material can vary slightly. This is all a part of what makes your jewelry unique and special.

Is Miccy's jewelry sustainable?

Miccy's has a high ethical standard and high jewelry quality. We work with small atelier all over the World. Before leaving the factory, each piece of jewelry goes through approximately 30 pairs of hands. Our team visits all ateliers we work with to ensure there are good labour circumstances and the ateliers work sustainable. For the jewelry that is made out of natural materials we collaborate with farms that, for example support the butterfly preservation.

Miccy's 18k Gold-plated jewelry

18k Gold-plated is a line of affordable earrings with a beautiful golden hue. The jewelry is made from 18k gold-plated unique metal blend which is a high quality plating solution consisting of several layers of 18k gold. Our plating is considerably thicker than the jewelry industries standard.
